Juvenile Assessment Center

provides a coordinated site which contributes to the safety of youth, families, and the community through early intervention, comprehensive assessment and improved access to appropriate services in Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert and Lincoln counties in Colorado. They are a non-profit that serves as an impartial ear to youth and families in an effort to understand underlying issues contributing to a youth’s behavior.  Through in-depth assessment(s) and evidence-based screening tools, staff work to understand the barriers youth and families are experiencing at home, school or in the community.  We then connect the youth and family to the necessary resources and services to help overcome their current barriers and create a stable environment where they can thrive.  When appropriate, the JAC coordinates with law enforcement, courts, schools, etc. allowing them to have a better picture of that youth and families’ needs and strengths.
